1. Agreement to Terms

Welcome to JLearn Online Educational Platform ("JLearn Online", "the Platform", "we", "our", or "us"), accessible via jlearn-edu.pages.dev. JLearn Online was built and developed by Junrel R. Sapanta (Sir J) to empower Philippine basic education teachers with cutting-edge digital pedagogy, automated curriculum planning, and interactive assessments.

By registering for an account, accessing, or using any feature of JLearn Online, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms in their entirety, you must immediately discontinue using the Platform.

2. Platform Purpose & Eligibility

JLearn Online is dedicated strictly to educational instruction, lesson design, and classroom management:

• Eligible Users: Registered public and private school teachers, educational administrators, and enrolled students using teacher-issued classroom access codes.
• DepEd Alignment: The Platform is engineered to support the Department of Education (DepEd) MATATAG K-12 curriculum standards, Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs), and Classroom Observation (C.O.) lesson plans.
• Non-Commercial Educational License: Core tools are provided free for legitimate instructional use by teachers and learners.

3. User Accounts & Password Security

When creating a Teacher Account or entering as a Student:

• You must provide truthful, current, and accurate registration information.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, password, and active sessions.
• Teachers are responsible for managing their classroom rosters and student assessment records ethically and in compliance with DepEd data regulations.
• You agree to notify platform administration immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

4. AI Generation Tools & Educator Responsibility

When utilizing AI-assisted features on JLearn Online:

• JLearn Online AI Assistant: Provides real-time guidance on platform features, curriculum navigation, and teaching strategies via an embedded default Google Gemini AI endpoint.
• Curriculum Generator Tools: (ILAW Lesson Plan, MATATAG Exemplar, PPT Studio, Assessment C.O. Maker) operate via Workers AI or teacher-provided custom Gemini API keys.
• Prohibited AI Prompts: You must not input prompts that are unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or intended to generate academic dishonesty, hate speech, or non-educational content.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The allocation of intellectual property on JLearn Online is clearly structured as follows:

• Platform Ownership: All original source code, algorithms, user interface designs, custom CSS stylesheets, logos, branding, and system architecture are the exclusive intellectual property of Junrel R. Sapanta (Sir J).
• Curriculum Ownership: Official DepEd MATATAG curriculum frameworks, learning competencies, and public domain educational standards remain the property of the Department of Education Philippines.
• Teacher-Generated Content: Teachers retain full ownership and intellectual rights over their original teaching notes, custom lesson modifications, and exported document files (.docx, .pptx).

6. User Content & Data Safeguards

Your privacy and the security of student records are paramount:

• Student assessment scores and classroom records are processed securely in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012).
• Student names, LRNs, and personal records are NEVER shared with third-party advertising partners or AI model training pipelines.
• Teachers may export or delete their classroom data at any time through their dashboard.

7. Prohibited Conduct & Platform Integrity

Users are strictly prohibited from:

• Attempting to bypass authentication security, feature locks, or admin dashboard controls.
• Engaging in automated web scraping, data harvesting, or denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against platform servers.
• Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the underlying source code of backend edge APIs.
• Using JLearn Online for commercial resale or unauthorized third-party redistribution.
• Injecting malicious scripts, SQL payloads, or harmful computer code into input forms.

8. Fair Use Policy & API Quotas

To ensure equal, uninterrupted access for all educators across the country:

• Free Workers AI edge models and Google Gemini endpoints are subject to daily compute quotas and rate-limiting to prevent server exhaustion.
• If a daily quota is reached, teachers may seamlessly continue generating materials using their own free Google AI Studio API key or switch engine modes.
• Automated bots or continuous mass-generation scripts that degrade platform performance for other teachers are strictly prohibited.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

JLearn Online is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. While we employ industry-standard reliability protocols, we do not warrant that the Platform will operate uninterrupted, 100% error-free, or that AI-generated draft text will be free of factual inaccuracies without teacher verification.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Philippine law, in no event shall JLearn Online, its developer Junrel R. Sapanta, or its hosting partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your access to, use of, or inability to access the Platform, including loss of data or instructional downtime.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, including the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000 (RA 8792), the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), and the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (RA 10175). Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the proper courts of the Philippines.
